Twelve days after Christmas, here in Italy we celebrate great journeys - either the travels of the Befana from folklore or the movements of the biblical Three Kings - so it seemed fitting to organize a two-day horse riding event, not to mention doing it for the chance to have some fun during the last days of our holidays!
It's the 1st day of the 1st month of a new year... and while many of us slept in this morning and have therefore lost most of the day, this is a symbolic day for many of us. The past 12 months are over and we've closed the door on the bad habits, bad choices and hardships that have taken place.
On this last day of 2013, we introduced some newbie clients to horse riding and there were a lot of laughs during the lesson and during the trail ride. They came to us from Agriturismo La Meridiana only a 10 minute drive away.
E got a big surprise yesterday when her aunt blindfolded her and took her for a drive to a "very special place" - turns out that place was 75 Avventura! E has been taking lessons with us off and on for over a year and her aunt wanted the two of them to go for a little ride together and we were more than happy to oblige!
Christmas holidays are finally here for most of us and the weather is definitely in our favour in the Alta Maremma of Tuscany. Sunny days with temperatures between 3°C and 10°C and we have seen the shortest day of the year come and go so it's only going to get lighter in the evenings from here on!
