Description:

75esima Avventura is based out of it's Trekking Station which forms one part of a larger agricultural outfit known as Fattoria Venere.

The Trekking Station of 75esima Avventura is situated in the peaceful countryside 3km from Montieri, a small village in Tuscany standing in the centre of the Colline Metallifere (Metal Hills) which are well known for their long and prosperous mining history.  

From Montieri, you can travel 40 minutes west to enjoy the beaches along the Mediterranean sea or 40 minutes east to the historical centre of Siena, designated as a World Heritage Centre by Unesco. The larger cities of Florence and Pisa are easily within 100km, while quaint medieval towns such as Massa Marittima, Volterra and San Gimignano require only a short drive through the scenic Tuscan landscape.

The Colline Metallifere are one of 5 geographic areas that make up the larger region known as the Maremma. Many secrets are hidden within the boundaries of the Maremma: ruins and monuments belonging to Etruscan and Roman times, hectares of natural reserves protecting and celebrating the botanical, zoological and geological riches,  long stretches of spectacular sandy coastline protected by cool pine forests and not to be forgotten cheeses, oils, traditional wild game and a wide selection of highly praised wines.       

Map and Directions:

Arriving from FLORENCE, exit Firenze Certosa direction Siena (4 lane highway) and take the exit for Colle Val d'Elsa - Sud. Follow signs to Radicondoli (without entering the village)/Montieri/Follonica. Crossing the border from the province of Siena into the province of Grosseto, a further 7 km and turn left, following signs for Chiusdino/Siena. After 1.7km at the first house on your right hand side, turn right onto the gravel road and follow signs for Fattoria Venere - Trekking Station.

Arriving from GROSSETO/LIVORNO, off the Aurelia highway take the exit for Follonica Est, following signs for Massa Marittima/Montieri. Without entering the village of Montieri, follow the signs for Chiusdino/Siena, turning right at a large wooden cross. After 1.7km at the first house on your right hand side, turn right onto the gravel road and follow signs for Fattoria Venere - Trekking Station.
