Horse riding holidays in Tuscany in the Colline Metallifere, exploring some of the most remote and beautiful places of the uncontaminated Alta Maremma, discovering the joy of equitourism and horseriding in the countryside. Our riding centre offers trail rides of varying levels of difficulty, from a series of half-day or full-day rides for experts on horseriding holidays to the single experience for little ones in our riding ring. Beginner or First-time riders are very welcome as you will be instructed on how to hold and operate the reins as well as be given a chance to practice in our riding ring to gain confidence before leaving for the trail.

Intermediate and Expert riders will also be required to demonstrate a certain level of competence before leaving the riding ring for an energetic trail, requiring a light seat due to our mountainous terrain and the ability to trot and canter safely, under control.

Groups of similar abilities ride together - experts and beginners will not ride together unless requested, in which case the ride will cater to the riders with the least amount of experience (ie: no galloping!)

We offer 30 minute lessons to children 7 and under in the riding ring, and hour lessons to children 8-13 which includes the chance for our young riders to try a small ‘trail’ in our private field. 

Ours is an English, not Western, riding centre, using saddles and techniques designed for trekking through our hilly territory. For trail riding, Italian law requires that riders be over the age of 14 and for the health and well being of our horses, we require that riders be under 85kg. 
Appropriate clothing is necessary for your comfort: dress with layers, long trousers (preferably without an inseam that can rub your inner leg), light rain coat if necessary, and closed shoes or boots; no sandals or high heels. We provide the helmets and all related insurances are included in the cost.

Beginners and experts will be guided and instructed by qualified staff, operating under the laws and insurance of Authorized Equestrian and Environmental Guides in Tuscany.
